HMO

A House in Multiple Occupation (HMO) is a residential property rented by at least three people who are not from the same household (such as families) but share facilities such as a kitchen and bathroom. 

Example of a HMO's

• Three friends (3 households) that rent an apartment together 
• Two separate couples (2 households) living together 
• One couple and one friend (2 households) renting a property together
